Polish Inspiration

Last week I went to Poland for a short holiday which has given me lots of inspiration for new artwork. When we first arrived in Warsaw the sky was completely white, providing an amazing backdrop to the buildings around the city, I wanted to just sit down there and then start drawing them. In complete contrast to this, when we arrived in Gdansk we were greeted by a backdrop of clear, bright blue skies. Mixed with the sand, old churches and colourful buildings this provided an amazing palette of colours, giving me some great inspiration for future artwork. The walls of the cafes and bars we visited were also covered in brilliant artwork which gave me ideas for some new Hull related pieces. After having my batteries well and truly recharged I now can’t wait to get creating again!
